Help Wanted:

Ron Paul Liberty Candidates!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
            In Florida elections for U.S. Senate and U.S. House of Representatives are now closed.  The only candidates we will be able to elect this August or November completed their paperwork in April to qualify for ballot access.  There are some good choices.  There are some bad choices.    The problem is there are not enough choices.
     However we still have many opportunities to run for public office on a state, county, or local basis.  There are hundreds of races throughout Florida with no challenger to an incumbent.  There are many races with no incumbent.  And still many more races with no candidate at all.
    Running for office on a local or county level just makes sense.  These races are much easier to win.  They take much less money to win.  And many of these offices majorly impact conditions within your local community and neighborhood.  They will also give you a platform to talk about liberty issues and provide the training you will need to run for state and federal office in the future.
     If you were a city council member, school board member, or a county commissioner, you would have appointment rights for governmental committees.  Planning, zoning, code enforcement, parks, recreation, audit, library, budget, land use, fire, safety, pension, water and utility are just a few of the possible appointments you will be able to make.  When you consider transportation, regional, and intra county boards, you might be able to appoint fifteen likeminded people to governmental positions.
     Most councils and boards have five members with staggered terms.  Every two years there are two or three members up for election.  You can change the focus of city and county government and the school board in as little as one election cycle.  Sometimes it will take two or more cycles depending upon the election cycle, the size of the districts, and the strength of your liberty commitment.
     Qualifying for most of these races will occur June 14th-18th.  To find out what positions are available in your county click here.  During this week anyone who submits the proper paperwork and pays the qualifying fee will be guaranteed a spot on the ballot.
     There are several types of elections.  Municipal races, school board races, Soil and Water Conservation Board races, and some local races are nonpartisan.  In smaller cities and counties municipal races and school board races can be won without very much money because it is easy to contact voters one on one.  Since these races are nonpartisan you need not disclose your party affiliation, if any.  In order to win, you have to be willing to talk to the voters
     All 67 counties have a Soil and Water Conservation Board.  These seats are county wide, but it only takes a $25 filing fee to run.  If you plan on running for State House, County Commissioner, Sheriff, Supervisor of Elections, Property Appraiser, Tax Collector, or Clerk of the Courts in 2012, why not get started now?  Get on the ballot for Soil and Water in 2010 and develop some name identification among the voters in your county for the future.
     You can run for Florida State Representative or Florida Senate for $1,781.82, but quite honestly if you live in a smaller county, for less money you could run for your local school board or city commission and probably have a better chance. There would be fewer voters to contact.
     Did you know you could run for Attorney General or Commissioner of Agriculture in Florida for as little as $7,738.32?  That's the qualifying fee to run as Republican or Democrat.  The Republican and Democratic candidates will probably spend a million bucks, but with 11 million voters, that won't buy a lot.  The latest Rasmussen poll shows 73% of the voters are undecided.  That means an unknown, like you, has a great chance of pulling off an upset.
     Check out Dale Peterson's YouTube.  Dale is a C4L member running for Agricultural Commissioner in Alabama.  He received over a million hits in a few days, an interview with Glenn Beck, the Sideshow on Hardball, and was mocked by the liberal media.  That's a lot of free publicity. Imagine what your campaign can do to shake things up.
     Please consider taking the r3VOLution a step further by running for elective office and individual liberty, constitutional government, sound money, and free markets.  You can make a difference
